vaginal tightening

Vaginal Tightening

Women can experience stretching of the vaginal muscles and tissue including the Perinel body. This can result in vaginal laxity and happens commonly after child birth where the vaginal cavity does not return to the pre-pregnancy position. This can result in reduced sensitivity during sexual activity and a general sense of dissatisfaction with appearance of the genital area.

This procedure helps to rebuild and reinforce the perineal muscles at the entrance of the vagina.  There are different procedures that may be needed depending on your condition and your Gynaecologist can advise you during your appointment. The procedures you may need are

The posterior repair procedure (to restore tone, strength and control of vaginal muscles)

Procedure to treat bladder prolapses (for urinary symptoms)

Please note, we do not carry out any procedures with vaginal mesh.
