How long does the replacement last ?

Hip replacements can last from 15 to 20 years depending on a multitude of factors. After this period you may need a revision arthroplasty.

How long will I be in hospital for?

When can I walk again?

This depends on personal circumstances but you should be able to walk without any crutches in 12 weeks.

Do I need a GP letter?

No, if you are a self paying patient, our consultants can see you and advise if a hip replacement is required.
